I started taking barre classes at Sculpt Barre in 2013. I have been a dancer my whole life, and ballet was my main discipline. When I started university I found I had less time to dance, so I wanted a workout that would have the same community feeling and focus as a dance class – I found this at Sculpt Barre! The fun atmosphere combined with the mental discipline made these classes exactly what I needed. I found a way to improve my strength while also being able to keep the graceful feeling that I love about ballet.
I started teaching barre in 2015 and have loved every moment of it! It is inspiring to see people overcome their previous limits, staying a little longer in the move and getting stronger every class! Barre is for everyone, regardless of dance experience or injury or physical limitations, and that is what makes it so great.
